Hair Colour Trends For Autumn 2015

Thinking of taking the plunge and going for a new colour?  Here at Wedding Hair Essex, I often see brides wanting something totally different and amazing for their big day.  Often, I recommend that a dramatic change of colour may be too much for their big day, as it is the day they want to feel their most natural and beautiful, but there is nothing saying you shouldn’t go for a change if you feel really happy about it.

Every season, new colours and effects come into fashion.  In this blog, I’m looking at the colour trends for Autumn. Enjoy!

You know those beautiful blonde tones that fair young children have?  Well, feather lights is a colour techniques based on that.  Feather shaped sections of the hair are lightened backwards from the root to tip, to give a more natural fade.  This technique is not only for blondes either, as it works really well on brunette locks too.

Yep, this is a pretty dramatic look and only for the bold.  But it can be incredibly beautiful.  Also known as “tie dye”, a mixture of layered up colour, like you would find in a bottle of rainbow sand, gives hair a plethora of colours. Only really for the very brave, it can still look stunning.

Red is always a very popular colour for the cooler months. This year, the colour Gods have created a new kind of red called “ronze” oddly enough. This is a hair colour mash up of red and bronze, literally.  Rich red hair with a more auburn base and lighter highlights are this year’s hottest hue.

Think Morticia Adams or any of the Kardashian/Jenner sisters.  Heavy block colour, almost black.  Brunette is a great colour for the winter and is out in full force on the catwalks and the red carpets.

This light, natural hue could be a winner for a wedding. Long gone are the days of brassy blondes or bleached out bangs, caramel blonde is a soft, beautiful colour. All over blonde is a bit of a pain when it comes to regrowth, but it’s definitely a big look for this Autumn – if you have the patience to live through the roots regrowth that is.
